along with hattie carrol and tamborine man, 61 is a powerful figurative image culled from dylan's words. appropriated as it is from william blake water colour, it came late in the game, the last painting i did before the show.
i'm very pleased with the impasto marks on the godlike form, and the mummy like quality of the corpse. the mummy wasn't entirely intentional but came out of a struggle to make the whole thing work.
